Spider season is here! It’s the time of the year when those creepy crawlies emerge from the corners of your home and more and more webs start to appear!
You’ve probably seen your friends sharing pictures of giant spiders they’ve found in their homes on social media, and you’ve probably already noticed the cobwebs in your home.
September is known as the spider season as it’s the time of year when male spiders usually go on the hunt for a mate, which often leads to them creeping into your home.
We know that not everyone loves it when spiders move in and become unwanted house guests, so we’ve shared some top tips on how to tackle those webs and send spiders crawling out of your home.
Vacuuming your home regularly will not only keep it clean, but it will also suck up webs. Make sure you get into in the corners of the room and behind the sofa and radiator too, as this is where spiders are likely to set up camp. Our VD15 Variable Nozzle attachment, which attaches to our Kobold VK200 Upright Vacuum Cleaner, can reach difficult spots thanks to the pull out extension and flexible joint attachment which has a 90 degree rotation.
We don’t always pay attention to our ceilings but this is often a place where webs are lurking. The VK200’S TR15 Telescopic Tube attachment is perfect for removing spider webs from ceilings, lamps and curtain rails without using wobbly ladders.
Tackle webs with a feather duster, or better yet, use the VK200’s SD15 Soft Nozzle attachment. The SD15 agitates dust with its soft bristles and sucks the dust straight into the machine.
Spiders feed on insects so try and keep insects out of your home by keeping your windows and doors closed. Avoid using bright lights in your home, as insects are attracted to light.
